"The Sacrifice"

There have been a lot of earthquakes in town lately, and Pepper talks to her friend on the phone about it, explaining that there are a bunch of religious kooks who think it may be the end of times, and she can't really argue with their logic.

She hangs up the phone then notices him, a masked and hooded man standing in the corner. She freaks out, begging him not to hurt her, and he explains that he is there for a good reason.

She was correct about the end of times, and that to restore the balance, a sacrifice must be made, and she is the chosen one.

He orders her to strip and put on a robe, she reluctantly obeys. He binds her hands and feet then takes her down to her basement where he has already prepared the alter.

He ties her down then begins to run the knife along her body. Pepper is terrified, and the man sees this, he tells her that she must feel joy in this if balance is to be restored.

He goes down to her feet and tickles her, forcing her out of her terror and into joy. He tickles her feet for a little bit, but then it becomes time.

He stands above her, then stabs her in the chest. She slowly dies, writhing weakly and spitting up blood, and across the land, not a damn thing changes.
